Project name:

Deniliquin Police Station

Location:

Deniliquin, NSW

Deniliquin is now home to a state-of-the-art Police Station thanks to the regional government investing a solid $18 million into the new building. CCG Architects adopted a contemporary design for this project, utilising simple rectilinear forms, so that it does not compete with the rest of the heritage listed building and former police barracks.

Hargreaves was involved in the project for 6 months, construction commenced in 2016 and we were once again asked to deliver the entire joinery package. Special compliance levels needed to be checked off, meaning we needed to source unique materials to meet standards. This project was sensitive, requiring confidential agreements as well as police checks for staff.

Working to produce an end result that was both culturally and aesthetically pleasing, as well as adhering to safety and security measures was a new challenge. Hargreaves delivered on the brief and the feedback for the Deniliquin precinct from both the police force and community has been extremely positive.
